FAQ

  • How does your online course work?

The course is hosted by an online platform called Thinkific. You will be prompted to make an account with a password in order to pay and sign up for the course. You will use your password every time you sign in to the course. The course is self-paced which means that the videos are pre-recorded and you can watch them whenever you want, and as many times as you wish.

  • Why is the currency only in US dollars?

The teaching platform only allows for one currency option. I decided to opt for USD as my students are worldwide with the majority in the USA. But you can purchase this course from anywhere in the world. The course is priced at $75 which, at time of writing, is equivalent to around £57 / €69. Use an online currency converter to get the price in your currency. A small bank fee may apply.

  • Do you offer refunds?

No. All sales are final and no refunds will be issued after you register. So please make sure that you read the supply list and are satisfied with the cost, including shipping charges, of items you need to purchase, and also that you understand and agree to our terms of service and our privacy policy before signing up.

  • When does the course start? And how long will the course and videos be available?

The course is instant access, so you will be provided with access to all content immediately and you will be able to work through it at your own pace. You can watch the videos as often as you wish and you will have 'lifetime' access. 'Lifetime' technically means for as long as my business is up and running. I reserve the right to 'retire' a course in the future if, for example, the technology becomes obsolete, but I don't foresee this happening any time soon.

  • Do I need any special equipment or supplies?

Yes, you will need the use of a home inkjet printer (not a laser printer). You will also need a water-based photo receptive coating called Inkaid. The 'What you will need' pdf has details of how to purchase this coating. Please read this carefully so that you are happy that you have access to the relevant supplies and are satisfied with the costs as no refunds will be offered once you have registered for the course.

  • Does your course offer subtitles or closed captions?

The course is filmed in English and I am not able to provide subtitles or closed captions at this time.

Instructor(s)

Claire Kennedy

Instructor

Claire Kennedy is a contemporary painter and mixed media artist living in Glasgow, Scotland. She is also a qualified teacher (PGCE/Postgraduate Certificate of Education) with many years of experience, and loves sharing what she has learned. She works primarily in acrylics, exploring layered and textured effects and often incorporating a layer of her own black and white photography within the painting. When not painting, Claire loves walking her dog Farley and taking photographs of her surroundings. It is usually during those walks, whether in the city or the countryside, that inspiration strikes for the next series of paintings!
